CompTIA A+ Essentials measures the necessary competencies of an entry-level IT professional with a recommended 500 hours of hands-on experience in the lab or field. It tests for technical understanding of computer technology, networking and security, as well as the communication skills and professionalism now required of all entry-level IT professionals.

The CompTIA A+ course provides the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a job as an A+ technician. This course will help you understand the fundamentals of computer technology, networking, security, and gain the skills required to identify hardware, peripherals, networking, and security components. This course will also help you gain skills required to install, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain PC workstations, the Windows OS and SOHO networks.

The CompTIA A+ certification validates the ability to perform tasks such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking. The exams also cover domains such as security, safety and environmental issues and communication and professionalism.
